The State’s two most important water delivery systems are located in the Bay Delta: The Central Valley Project and the California State Water Project. Water conveyed through the Delta supports 25 million people throughout the State. Ensuring reliability of this fragile system is of the utmost importance to the sustainability of California’s water supply. For this reason the California Contract Cities Association has taken a supportive position on the Bay Delta Conservation Plan public draft. “Our support of this draft plan represents much more than protecting the interests of our member cities,” said Contract Cities President Victor Manalo. “It illustrates the California Contract Cities Association’s commitment to statewide policy that ensures water reliability to the entire State for generations to come.” Read more about the Bay Delta Conservation Plan click here.
